Dean Burn Slimline 5 Eco

The Dean Burn Slimline 5 Eco is Dean Forge’s reduced-depth wood burner, built for the spaces a standard stove won’t fit — shallower fireplace openings, narrow chimney breasts and smaller rooms. At just 325mm deep, it sits neatly without dominating the floor, yet still takes logs up to 400mm for less frequent refuelling.

Handmade in Devon and inspired by one of co-founder Michael Chew’s favourite designs, the Dean Burn pairs traditional character with genuinely modern performance. A large glass door gives a wide, warm view of the flames, kept clear by Dean Forge’s preheated airwash, while independent primary, secondary and tertiary air controls let you burn cleanly and precisely.

As a dedicated 5kW wood burner it reaches 82.1% efficiency with an A+ energy rating, and it’s DEFRA exempt for smoke-controlled areas and ClearSkies certified for low emissions. An optional closed-combustion connection draws air from outside, making it well suited to today’s airtight and new-build homes.

Finished in classic black with a stainless steel handle and air controls fitted as standard, the Dean Burn Slimline 5 Eco sits on a non-constructional hearth with top or rear 125mm flue outlets. Measuring 585mm wide and 640mm high, it’s backed by a 5-year guarantee.
