The Sherford 5 Slimline Eco is the wide-format model in Dean Forge’s contemporary Sherford range — a shallower yet slightly wider wood burner that delivers a broad, panoramic view of the flames through its large glass door. Its clean, minimalist lines suit modern interiors, while the reduced depth makes it a smart fit for narrower chimney breasts and shallower fireplace openings.
Handmade in Devon, this dedicated 5kW wood burner reaches 81.4% efficiency with an A+ energy rating, and it’s DEFRA exempt for smoke-controlled areas and ClearSkies certified for low emissions. A preheated airwash keeps the wide glass clear, while independent primary, secondary and tertiary air controls make it simple to control and quick to respond.
The extra width lets it take logs up to 400mm, so refuelling is less frequent. Choose Standard or High legs, from nine colour finishes, with a stainless steel handle and air controls fitted as standard for a premium contemporary look, plus an optional plinth if you’d like to raise it further.
An optional closed-combustion connection draws air from outside, suiting airtight and new-build homes. The Sherford Slimline 5 Eco fits a non-constructional hearth with top or rear 125mm flue outlets, and is backed by a 5-year guarantee.
