Dartmoor 8 Eco

The Dartmoor 8 Eco is Dean Forge’s larger 8kW stove, built for bigger rooms, open-plan layouts and period properties where a smaller 5kW model won’t quite keep up. Handmade in Devon, it pairs traditional, timeless styling with real heating muscle and clean, modern combustion technology.

The wider firebox takes logs up to 380mm, so you spend less time cutting and refuelling, and the large glass door gives a broad, uninterrupted view of the flames. A preheated airwash keeps that glass clear, while independent primary, secondary and tertiary air controls let you burn precisely and economically.

At 80.5% efficiency with an A energy rating, it’s DEFRA exempt for smoke-controlled areas and ClearSkies certified for low emissions. Choose the dedicated wood burner or the multi-fuel model — either converts between fuels whenever your needs change.

Two heights are available: Standard for a classic stance, or High to raise the firebox to a more prominent, seated eye line. Finished with a black handle as standard (stainless steel optional) and offered in nine colours, the Dartmoor 8 Eco fits a non-constructional hearth with a top or rear 150mm flue. Measuring 565mm wide and 380mm deep, it’s backed by a 5-year guarantee.
